Soprano and String Quartet
Premiered at the Washington State Music Teachers’ Association conference in Wenatchee, WA in June, 2013. The poems are taken from Kathleen Flenniken’s book “Plume.” The poems grow from her experience growing up in Richland, WA in the shadow of the Hanford Nuclear Reservation. Here is a wonderful interview with Dick Gordon and Kathleen on the NPR program “The Story” about “Plume.”
