TEXT

Christ the Lord is born today!
Let us all rejoice and say Alleluia!
Incense and bells that sweetly ring,
Candlelight for the infant King, Alleluia!

Quietly to the stable go
Cold is the night and deep the snow
Listen to a newborn baby cry W
while Mary sings a lullaby
Alleluia!

Shepherds watching o’er their sheep
All their lonely vigil keep
Brightly shines a star upon the land,
Angels are singing all in a band,
“Peace on earth goodwill to man,”
Alleluia!

Let the Yule-fire light the snow!
Holly and pine and mistletoe!
Bring all the gifts and hear the organ play!
God has come to live in us today!
Alleluia!

Highest heav’n and lowest earth
celebrate the baby’s birth
God’s own Child is given to us today
With all your hearts give thanks and say Alleluia!
Alleluia!
